Chainmail GoFundMe

Hey everyone, I just wanted to jump in here and let you know of an opportunity to help us grow in our craft section as well as helping us help others through charity. However, there is also an opportunity for you to get some cool chainmail swag!

As you may have seen from our newest posts that we have been putting up lately, I have been starting to work with chainmail. I have been making jewelry (bracelets and necklaces) as well as some charms/earrings and zipper pulls. My newest project, which I will be starting in a few day’s time, is to create a dragon sculpture out of chainmail which will be around 2 feet long when finished!

The main thing we are looking for in our GoFundMe campaign is the money to get a thing called a Ringinator and a set of Pepe Tools mandrels. What this would allow us to do is make our own chainmail rings from a variety of metals at a lower cost than if we were to buy the rings premade. The great thing is this way I can pass the savings down to you if you wished to buy a project from us! In addition to this, it gives us the ability to have a whole bunch of new and different colors (right now we are limited to about 6 colors from a seller in our price range and limited to just Aluminum Rings due to price.) The Mandrels are what’s needed to wrap the wires around to make the rings. While this could be done with various sized wooden dowels, I would prefer to use Mandrels made of metal from Pepe tools as their diameters will be most likely more consistent than what wooden ones would be. Metal will also last longer with the cutting since a saw is needed to cut the wire to make the rings. They are also tougher and harder to break as well as being made in the right size for what we need without me having to guess if I have the right sizes or not. For these 2 things we are looking at a price tag around $600-$650. So what can you get out of this?

If you Donate $60 we will make you a bracelet with your choice of easy weave from what we have learned. (Lists to come later and be updated as we learn new weaves)

If you Donate $80 we will make you a bracelet with your choice of more difficult weaves from what we have learned. (Lists to come later and be updated as we learn new weaves)

If you Donate $100 we will make you a necklace of your choice with an easier weave.

If you Donate $150 we will make you a necklace of your choice from the harder weaves.

If you donate $200 we will make you a large Dragon (current colors available Black with Green stomach and scales, More coming soon to be listed and a LOT more color combos available if we make our goal of $600)
