So here we are, back again back again! To continue the last blog’s story, we already gave a shout out to my son but we have to do that again to show why we are a little late on this blog as well. After a few days of sickness that we all had, we took my son to the doctors and got the wonderful news about his heart WOOHOO! Now what not everyone knows is that on the 30th of this month, my son turns 5 years old. This little premie who was only 4 pounds when born is now 30 some pounds and half my height and turning 5. Time sure does fly! However, my parents will be away on his birthday so it required an early party to celebrate together! So Saturday we all squeezed into my parents SUV and went down to Orlando to my sons favorite place, Sea World! We got to pet a dolphin, eat lunch with the whales, and see an awesome Sesame Street Halloween show and even do a little early Trick-or-Treating. With my disabilities since having my cancer surgery, once we got back home it was all we could do to eat a piece of cake and open some presents. So here we are on Sunday following through on the comics supplied by Vibranium Comics and Games for our weekly blogs that we put out for your enjoyment. The Ms. Marvel generations has started just like the other Generations with the new Ms. Marvel traveling in time to see the old Ms Marvel. This was an interesting one because the new Ms. Marvel is always dealing with Racism from being both Muslim and Inhuman but when she traveled to the past she found herself in a time when Ms. Marvel Carol Danvers ran a magazine for the Daily Bugle that was fighting for Women’s Rights. In many ways some good parallels can be drawn between these separate battles in our times I think. Anyway, this comic gave me the first glimpse as to what may be causing the weird time travel in all the comics as Kamalla said something about fighting near a cube. I also liked the fact that she described the time travel when everyone else was like “oh hey it must have happened” and just flowed with it like it was a common occurrence.
It was pretty cool in this one to see a version of Carol Danvers I didn’t know about. The newer Ms. Marvel flowed into the story line very nicely with her inner discussion about how she and Carol don’t see eye to eye anymore and that maybe thats alright. It was also cool to see them both fight the bad guy and work on non-superhero stuff at the same time. I quite enjoyed this comic, but what about you? What are your thoughts about it?
